Marvin Kim has been running the graphic design studio ‘SPINE PRESS’ since graduating from Kookmin University with a master’s degree in 2017. He mainly carried out projects related to the identity, print, web, and online promotion of individuals, organizations, or brands related to the field of culture and arts. He was in charge of exhibition identity design such as '2022 POSTHUMAN: Stroytelling For Earthly Survival, Asia Culture Center', 'Vita Nova: New Life, Incheon Art Platform', and 'GRIMDOSI S#5 Waypoint, Sejong Center for the Performing Arts', and symbol design for 'LOCO' of AOMG, symbol and album design for ‘Hypnosis Therapy’. He is also conducting personal experiments in addition to commercial projects based on variety of interests, such as the growth method of plants, sound, body movement in virtual space. This was announced as the result of Type Plant, Sound Character, Study of Emotional Expression through Body Movement(MFA Thesis).

Meanwhile, ‘SPINE PRESS’ serves a variety of purposes, such as publishing an artist's art book (or exhibition book) such as "Jade Sujin Lee, Change or Trans-Hiking / Ourler, 2023", "Miki Kim, MIKI KIM, 2021" or conducting a workshop irregularly, along with independent publications such as "Quest, 2020" and "A Strange City, 2020 — 2024." Especially the series workshop "A Strange City" aims to build an experimental and systematic way of visualization by developing Dennis Wood's book “Everything Sings: Maps for a Narrative Atlas, 2010”. It has selected different themes and produced interesting results each time. In addition, he will continue to plan and conduct interesting workshops.
